Market Developer

Nr ref. R/58/2018/PDH


The Market Developer provides technical support to strategic customers and creates customer and market opportunities for PDH Polska through applications development and technical service activities in (targeted) market segments. They will also be expected to lead product and application development programs in support of market segment strategies.


Project phase

  1. Support development of the product range by collecting and consulting technical product data from customers
  2. Understanding customer and market needs, translating these into resin requirements/specifications
  3. Develop thorough understanding of the Polish and German polyolefins markets
  4. Develop contact with potential polypropylene customers
  5. Feedback market needs to the commercial and production teams

Pre-start-up phase

  1. Manage product approval and qualification at customers
  2. Provide commercial and technical support for the marketing documentation design
  3. Support implementation of ISO and quality standards for commercial operations
  4. Support implementation of procedures and IT systems supporting commercial operations
  5. Support of the development of the customer service organisation


Post-start-up commercial operation

  1. Continue supporting PDH Polska sales development by expanding customer portfolio
  2. Enhance business profitability by continuous development of higher value applications 
  3. Initiate and manage value added product and applications development projects in collaboration with Process Technologist and Production
  4. Support profitable product line growth through customer qualifications of new, improved or existing products
  5. Prepare technical presentations and report out progress to the development team and management
  6. Work with customers to help understand and apply customer performance requirements to new product developments 
  7. Work within a multi-disciplinary team to design and develop new products based on market needs and manufacturing capability
  8. Ensure optimum performance of PDH Polska product and service at customers - provide support to manufacturing plants including process improvement initiatives and other activities aimed at operational excellence and continuous improvement
  9. Commercial focal point for cooperation with the production department on product related aspects
  10. Providing targeted technical support to external customers, as well as internal customers such as Business, Sales and Production



1.     Experience in commercial operations in plastics industry

2.     Good knowledge of plastic’s conversion technologies

3.     Autonomy in organising her/his work to meet objectives

4.     Caring for a high level of internal and external communication standards

5.     Fluent in Polish or German and English allowing free business communication

6.     Familiar with SAP, ISO 9001 and commercial regulations and operations

7.   Effective communicator (both written and oral) and have an advanced level of technical competency in polyolefins and polypropylene processing technologies
